Our PIC 16F83 design may help improve the quality of playback
of pre-recorded video tapes on some TV sets. Sometimes, the presence
of Macrovision pulses (a VCR to VCR copy protection system) on a tape
results in brightness variations or flickering. Our PIC Video Cleaner
compensates for these 'interference' pulses and can improve picture
quality, especially when a TV set which is particularly prone to
Macrovision interference is used.

Circuit is mains powered and self contained on a single PCB
with SCART in and out sockets. Cannot be used to enable VCR copying
of Macrovision-encoded tapes.

Macrovision is a registered trade mark of Macrovision Corporation
