Everyday Practical Electronics/ ETI (November & December 1999)

This PIC 16C55-controlled stopwatch can be used to time
sporting events etc. up to ten hours' duration with a
resolution of 1/100th second, with an l.c.d. display.

Also included is an (optional) large l.e.d. display enabling audiences to
observe times. And we mean large - each digit measures
248mm high x 142mm (10" x 5" approx.) across and uses 78 l.e.d.s!

Additional features:

- start, stop, lap functions

- "gate" function using a.m. radio-controlled 418MHz Tx/ Rx, - ideal for
equestrian events with automatic start/ stop

Intended more for the experienced constructor capable of
adapting interface circuitry to meet their own needs.
